Anything you feel comfortable in! Pop on that gorgeous outfit you feel fab in! Anything that highlights your best assets will give you little confidence boost on the day. If it's a solo shoot, wear something that reflects the mood of what you want to capture. Business headshots? Something smart casual and professional. Glamour shot? Anything from jeans and a nice top to something a bit more risqué...

if you're attending a couples or family shoot, it's a nice idea to co-ordinate your outfits using style and colour. The colours that photograph well are: camel, cream, beige, olive, gold, dark brown and warm grey.

Things to avoid are neon colours, logos, anything you don't feel comfortable in and anything that's too loose or baggy.

If in doubt, keep it simple. I always have an outfit chat with you before you come to see me, to help steer you in the right direction.

Of course! Your portrait session doesn't have to take place in the studio. If there's a place that's special to you, or you think would make a really good backdrop for your shoot, let me know and we can arrange it. A small mileage charge may apply, but we can iron out the details in our pre-shoot chat.

OK, breathe. Some people absolutely thrive in front of a camera and just know how to work it. Others, like myself, turn stiff as a board as soon as a lens is pointed at them!

I do indeed! Before taking up a career in photography, I was a fully qualified beauty therapist for 20 years. So I know my way around an eyeshadow palette.

I can create a beautifully natural, barely there look, or something a bit more glamourous if you so desire. I will also apply strip lashes if that’s your jam.

You can add make up application to your portrait shoot for an extra £45.
